FCP 101: An Introduction to Final Cut Pro 6
This is the official Apple Pro Training course
This three-day, hands-on course introduces students to the primary feature set and basic interface of Final Cut Pro. In this course you learn to perform basic editing functions while familiarizing yourself with the user interface. Topics include basic setup, adjusting and customizing preferences and settings, capturing video and audio, various editing and trimming techniques, Ripple, Roll, Slip and Slide tools, audio editing and audio creation, finishing and final output.

Who should attend
This class is designed for anyone looking to edit professional-quality video with Final Cut Pro and who prefers hands-on and interactive instruction to best explore its functionality. Also desirable: an understanding of Mac OS X and basic computer navigation.
Prerequisites
Students should have the following prerequisite knowledge prior to attending the course:
- Basic knowledge of Mac OS X
- PCCI's Digital Video Fundamentals seminar or equivalent experience
Presentation method
Class time is divided between instructor-led presentations and hands-on exercises. Classes are limited to six students or less with an individual Mac Pro workstation for each student to use during the course.
Course materials
Each course participant receives the 656-page book, Apple Pro Training Series: Final Cut Pro 6 (with DVD-ROM) from Peachpit Press.
Certification
This course covers the knowledge necessary to become an Apple Certified Pro, Level One in Final Cut Pro.
If you'd like the added advantage of becoming an Apple Certified Pro, we encourage you to take the official Final Cut Pro exam (administered also at PCCI). The standard exam fee is PhP 7,350 (USD 150). But for a limited time, you can avail of the exam for only PhP 4,900 (USD 100).
Note: The exam is optional.
