The goal of commercial product photography is simple — to make the product look so good that consumers would want to buy it. This intensive, hands-on workshop will propel you toward that goal by guiding you through the basic techniques and secrets that industry pros use.

Who should attend

This two-day workshop is both for amateur photographers who want to break into the field of commercial product photography, and for professional photographers who want to broaden their skill set.

Prerequisites

Participants should have completed our Basic Photography workshop, or have equivalent experience. Although not a strict prerequisite, it would help if participants have previous experience with large format cameras.

Presentation method

Class time is divided between instructor-led presentations, hands-on practice, and instructor-led critiques of the photos taken in class. Classes are limited to 12 participants or less to ensure optimum learning.

What to bring

Participants should bring a 35mm (film or digital) SLR camera, and preferably a tripod.
