Fast Track to Digital Photography
Fast Track to Digital Photography is geared towards serious amateur photographers who want to pursue a serious hobby or go professional in digital photography.
It will discuss not only the anatomy of the digital camera and its functions but also the basics of photography and editing using Adobe Lightroom. It will cover the different approaches to digital photography: shooting JPEG vs RAW.
The course will also cover how to convert images into Black and White and Sepia. Only cameras that allow shots to be saved in camera raw will be used. Students will be encouraged to shoot in Camera Raw.

- How to take better pictures
- Shooting in RAW
- Transferring your photos to your computer
- Editing and enhancing your images in Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 2
- Output options
Who should attend
This intensive workshop is for anyone who wants to learn both basic photography and image-editing, but who doesn't have time to take separate courses in each.
Prerequisite
To take this course, participants should have basic knowledge of either the Windows or Macintosh operating system.
What to bring
Each participant must have a digital SLR camera. Participants should also bring their camera's user manual (if available) and USB/FireWire cord.
